Cork Airport is adorably chronicling the adventures of a child's lost teddy on Facebook

“Teddy has had his dinner and tea and is relaxing in our lounge at present.”

WE’VE ALL KNOWN the pain of losing a treasured childhood toy – and a lucky few know the utter joy of getting it back. Hopefully this child will be one of those few.

Staff at Cork Airport came across this pink teddy on Sunday afternoon after it “got separated from its travelling companions”:

Writing on Facebook, they asked the owner to contact the airport, and assured them that their teddy was being well looked after.

Teddy has had his dinner and tea and is relaxing in our lounge at present.

Hearing nothing back, they decided to step up the search on Day 2:

Day 2 at Cork Airport and Teddy is desperately trying to make contact with his family. Please contact us ASAP if you recognise Teddy. We are looking after our VIP royalty in the meantime.

“Desperately.” We’re not crying, there’s just something in our eyes.

On Tuesday, his third day in the airport, Teddy took to playing the blues on the nearest piano:

Teddy has decided to entertain staff and passengers while waiting for his rightful little owner to claim him back.

Ah god. This is too much.

If you recognise this little pink teddy, you can contact Cork Airport here. With any luck, he and his owner will be reunited soon <3
